God's Top Priorities For Your Life

Dear Mighty men,

I just felt led to send you a summary of a very import message I preached a few months ago. The message was much longer but just captured the main points below.

Enjoy and be ignited for His glory!

1. A TIMELESS MESSAGE

A) This is definitely one of the most important messages I preached till date.

B) It may be one of the most important messages you will ever hear.....I didn't say most exciting or powerful...but 'important'.

C) It's the kind of message that changes a person's perspective and life for good & forever.

D) Miss this message and you miss a goldmine.

E) Get this message and you get a treasure map, a compass, a GPS Navigator that will help you navigate through the difficult terrain of this life.

F) Many of us already know the importance of setting out priorities in our daily lives.

G) This message takes that knowledge to the highest level, as it will give you God's most important priorities for your life.

2. THE LORD'S PRAYER....MORE THAN A PATTERN PRAYER.

A) Many can recite the Lord's Prayer but few know it's true purpose and power.

B) Of those who know it's power, fewer know that it is more than just a prayer pattern.

C) In the example Jesus gave His disciples of how to pray right, He also reveals to us God's most important priorities for our lives in clear, memorable and descending order of importance.

Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV

9 “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

3. THE PRIORITIES

i. PRIORITY 1(A). Worship God.

Vs 9 “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

--Please note that this is PRIORITY 1(A) .....1(B) will come much later.

--THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING GOD REQUIRES OF YOU IN TIME AND FOR ETERNITY.

ii. PRIORITY 2. Establish His Kingdom.

Vs 10a 'Your kingdom come...'

--GOD IS MY FRIEND BUT HE IS MY LORD FIRST!

iii. PRIORITY 3. Do His Will.

Vs 10b '....Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.'

-- If truly God is your Lord then doing His will becomes easy.

--You are not to seek your own thing but seek to do His will

--Notice the operational word is 'DOING' God's Will.....not just knowing it.

iv. PRIORITY 4. Expect God to meet your every need.

Vs 11 'Give us this day our daily bread.'

--One of God's priorities as a great Father is to meet your every need..spiritual, emotional, physical, material.(Your wellbeing is part of God's plan for your life).

--It's His perfect will for your life....but only after you have given the Top 3 priorities their place in your life because God doesn't want you to make money your god.

v. PRIORITY 5. Walk in Forgiveness.

Vs 12 'And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.'

--Forgiveness must take a new meaning in your life..

--Forgive your friends, your spouse, your parents, your children, your extended family,your colleagues, your enemies, & yourself......and in case you have taken your matter out of this world....you must NEVER BE OFFENDED IN GOD!

--You cannot walk in forgiveness if you don't understand and walk in the LOVE of God.

--GOD'S AGAPE LOVE...is the key to walking in forgiveness.

vi. PRIORITY 6. Walk in Victory.

Vs 13(a) 'And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.'

--Your being defeated, or looking miserable doesn't make God happy.

--That's why God never uses sickness, poverty or any such thing to chastise us...NEVER!

--Anyone that breaks the hedge, the serpent shall bite....not God shall strike

--God is not waiting with a sledgehammer for you to make a mistake, rather His eyes are running to and fro and His arms are stretched out to keep you safe even when you wonder away to far country like the prodigal son.

--God has provided that you'll always be victorious against anything that seeks your hurt.

vii. PRIORITY 1(B). Acknowledge His Lordship and you will Finish in Glory!

Vs 13(b) For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

--This is not priority 7 but an affirmation of priority 1(A).

--PRIORITY 1(A) and 1(B) are saying basically the same thing.

--That tells us how doubly important point 1 is.

--It's like a sandwich....GOD MUST SANDWICH EVERY OTHER PRIORITY HE HAS GIVEN YOU.

--He must have the first word and the last word in your life.

--Jesus ends by emphasizing that we must always acknowledge His Lordship over everything & everyone(For Yours is the Kingdom, & the power ,& the glory)

--Then we are guaranteed to FINISH IN GLORY!

4. Carefully note the the descending order of importance of point Point 1 to 6.

(i) If you are not a true worshipper you cannot establish God's kingdom or care for that matter.

(ii) If you don't make God's kingdom your priority in general, then you will struggle to walk in His specific will for your life.

(iii) If you don't walk in His will, you will struggle with lack, because God's provision for your life always follows His Vision for you!

(iv) If you are always hungry and have lack in your life, you can easily get offended.

(v) If you refuse to walk in forgiveness then you won't be able to walk in victory.

--Don't ever reverse the order or else you won't be effective in your Christian walk.
