As the implementation of Government Regulation No. 5 of 2006 on the target of 17% renewable energy in the energy mix in 2025 , the Indonesian government re- issued a number of ministry regulations to support the policy as fit and tariff policies for solar power plants , wind , and geothermal. However, the development of renewable energy still faces challenges in terms of economic viability due to having to deal with conventional fossil energy prices that are still being heavily subsidised. Renewable energy development in Indonesia will not be progressively developed without the support of many stakeholders in the field of energy and the breakthrough of the government in creating economic feasibility that can be accepted by the market. This Business Forum will discuss the opportunities and challenges of renewable energy development in Indonesia, and the expectation to the new government as the result of election 2014. PLN As we all know will be the pioneer and stands at the forefront in the implementation of related policies renewable energy in its position as the only provider of subsidised electricity in Indonesia, while the Secretary General of METI as the society who care about the development of renewable energies will present a proposal to the energy stakeholders as a deep study and recommendation of METI 's involvement in a number of initiative in the field of renewable energy. Energy Nusantara expects that the deliverable from this discussion can arise new breakthrough ideas that needs to be done in implementing the renewable energy program in Indonesia. Energy Nusantara through its community that reside across the globe, hoping that this forum can also be a means of discussion in preparing the action plan for renewable energy activists to propel the advancement of renewable energy advancement in Indonesia.

1) Mr. Nur Pamudji, President Director, PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Persero - the Indonesian State Owned Electricity Company
Mr. Nur Pamudji, was appointed as the President Director of PT PLN (Persero) on 1 November 2011, replacing Mr. Dahlan Iskan who now serves as Minister of SOEs. Mr. Pamudji began his career in the PLN in the Year 1985 as a staff of field operations of PT PLN (Persero) P3B Java, Bali. In 2001, Mr. Pamudji served as Manager of Field Distribution of PT PLN (Persero) Region of South and Southeast Sulawesi. Mr. Pamudji was then served as Manager of Systems Operations Unit Bidding at PT PLN (Persero) P3B Java, Bali in 2005. In the following years, Mr. Pamudji served as Manager of Systems Operations of PT PLN (Persero) P3B Java, Bali to become General Manager of PT PLN (Persero) P3B Java, Bali in 2008. Mr. Pamudji was born in Malang on 2 August 1961 and received his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), the Master of Engineering at The University of New South Wales, Australia and Master of Public Management at
the National University of Singapore.
2) Mr. Riki Firmanda Ibrahim, Secretary General, the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society/ Masyarakat Energi Terbarukan Indonesia (IRES/ METI)
Topic: Way-out of Challenges in Renewable Energy in Indonesia
Mr. Riki Ibrahim has accumulated a broad and extended over 30 years professional experience in Energy, Engineering, Management, Business Development and Consulting, in Jespra LNG Services, Total Indonesia, Unocal, Amoseas Indonesia, Pacific Oil & Gas, PENalliance, and TubanPetrochemical Industries for valuable upstream - downstream oil and gas. Some of Mr. Ibrahim's responsibilities prior to joining PENalliance were as the Chief of Business Development and Executive Officer for a major plant of PO&G LNG project in Kalimantan, PO&G power plant development projects in Sumatra and Kalimantan, the Executive Director of TAC PERTAMINA oil and gas operations in Jambi, Sumatra and several Coal Steam Power Plant projects in Indonesia. Mr. Ibrahim held a Petroleum Engineering degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Master Degree from Montana School of Mine (1989), a Geothermal Engineering diploma from Stanford University (1991) and
Auckland Geothermal Institute (1992). Mr. Ibrahim is active in variety professional societies and organizations such as the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA), the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI), the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI) as well as the International Geothermal Association (IGA).
