I am totally new to hardwares , in my new project we are using seeed-studio-xiao-nrf52840-sense-tinyml-tensorflow-lite-imu-microphone-bluetooth5-0/ for collecting audio ,inference of a ml model.is it possible t take the audio out from this device using GPIOs available in it.Is there anything to watch out for while choosing audio out interface in this controller .We where searching for something like and audio jack 3.5 mm out .

Hi there, and Welcome,
No 3.5 jack directly, However the part does support i2S so maybe that would be helpful, Analog out? Not sure how you mean to use this. Can you explain more. Are you trying to listen to the samples from the PDM mic onboard or ? after the ML model has them? Give more details and all the smart folks here will comment in an effort to help.

I was checking that article , I came across this particular device expansion board [ -seeeduino-xiao-expansion-board/ ] , is there any alternatives to this expansion board with a smaller form factor, this has a size of 58 x 43 mm .
does such expansion boards ,exist

Thanks Roland, but i am looking it for mobile devices not for hololens. There is widget in studio for audio voice but i want to configure this audio voice with sequencing steps. For example when i click on play sequncing button, the sequencing steps (created in illustrate) should also generate audio voice like "in this step, unscrew the the bolt". Rather than showing this kind of message on text label i want to deleiver it in audio voice..

I am using Ubuntu Studio 20.04 with JACK through ubuntustudio-controls. I have a surround speaker system and must change the default pulse_out bridge sink from 2-channel stereo to 4-channel. The four channels must be mapped to front-left front-right rear-left rear-right. This does not seem to be an option through the GUI.

This could normally be manually configured through pacmd load-module module-jack-sink sink_name=Surround client_name=Surround channels=4 connect=no but Ubuntu Studio Controls wipes out any manual changes once "Start or Restart Jack" is clicked. If no solution is available, it seems avoiding Ubuntu Studio Controls would be the only option. Sadface.

I can imagine this would be an important feature since many professional musicians, studio engineers and audiophiles have 5.1 and 7.1 surround speaker systems, but the wiki page has no information on the subject.

Step 5: After creating the raw folder successfully go to your own system and copy the required audio files as we do normally. Now again come back to the android studio and right-click on the raw folder. Then click on the Paste button as shown in the below image.

I have Movie Studio 15 platinum. When I try to add mp3 files, they will not appear inside their folder as an option under "all media files." If I change that to search for "all files" then the music mp3 files appear and I can choose a file to add to the project. Then, when I add the mp3 file into a music channel (which is what it is) in the project, it plays back as screeching noise!

Hi Musicvid. Yes. I downloaded a first set a couple of years back from audionautix.com. These were all mp3, and I had no problem using them in my videos. Then I didn't use the program at all for over a year and when I went back to do videos, they stopped working. So, next, for the video I was producing I used the beginning of a song I had on my computer for an opening sequence to a video. It got flagged on Youtube. But, Youtube sent me a link to their library of music which is approved, so I found some I liked and downloaded them. They are also mp3 files. Again, I had the exact same problem - as I stated above in my 4/6/20 post. The fix was to convert from mp3 to wav file using VLC media player. Then they downloaded and work fine.

Hi KenB. Thank you for the referrals, I will check them out. I will say this here as a question: I own Sony Movie Maker 15. But when I searched for help on this issue, NOWHERE can you find help for Sony Movie Maker 15!!! Why is it that everything is for Vegas Pro?

Ok, I just held down cntrl and shift and booted the program and while I have to go to all files to find the mp3 files on my computer, they DO now seem to work. Man, that was one long and frustrating process for such a simple solution. Sony, you should make it easier to find the help we need, when we need it.

You still don't own "Sony Movie Maker 15". @Chris-Tringali wrote in another thread that "the product is Sony Movie Studio 15, part of the Vegas Movie Studio product line". Actually it's VEGAS Movie Studio 15 (basic or Platinum version). Sorry to keep reminding of this, but you may find help easier when other members of the community know what you are really using. And the patches with fixes for VEGAS Pro and Movie Studio products come separately.

In the past several weeks I have seen a rash of problems involving mp3 files and Vegas. Have done retail sales tracking in the past, I am well aware of psuedorandom clustering effects, but is there a common thread that you can put your finger on, @vkmast? Does Vegas phone home to reauthorize the plugin? Is it cranky Muses?

I have Vegas Movie Studio Pro 14 build 127 and I can't render an audio file as mp3. The program just crashes with a dialog box that says "Movie studio has stopped working." any advice on how to fix this?

You should either be using a USB microphone plugged straight into your computer (but only if your budget is under $200), or if you want to ensure professional quality, have an audio recording interface, and plug your microphones and/or instrument inputs into that.

A reader recently sent me an e-mail asking for help with his home recording studio setup. He was using Reaper recording software (excellent choice!) on his computer, along with a mixer, a drum machine and a keyboard synthesizer, along with some mics plugged into the mixer as well.

He had an audio interface, but a very limited one, called the Behringer UCA 222, which is not designed for multi-track recording, but rather for you to plug in line-level signals from things like tape decks, mixers, and other consumer audio devices, as well as electronic instruments like keyboards, drum machines, etc.

The trouble with that is the preamps in a mixer like the 1202, though decent, are pretty cheap by necessity. There are 4 of them on a 1202, and if they used top-notch recording quality preamps, it would drive up the cost of the mixer by a lot.

I have an external preamp a grace design M101: I put my xlr microphone in that. Then I use a TRS to TRs cable going into my audio interface a Steinberg UR242. Then I use another TRs to TRS cable to my external soundgate Behringer XR4400. Now in my setup, it works pretty well getting good sound in my microphone. I have a Sterling St77 microphone.

So my question is would an external mixer help with doing remote live recordings with clients instead of using a virtual mixer to route everything? The virtual mixer works pretty well but lately, it sometimes gets static noise so I am trying to find a remedy to my solution. Like I said it works flawlessly when I am just doing the recording to adobe audition and the like. The problem is when I want to do remote recording on the browser-based IPDTL alternative platforms online.

I have actually got it to work using the virtual mixer program free program called voicemeeter as that routes everything to get it to work when I do remote recording but it is a hit or miss. And I need this problem resolved. As you are aware clients want to do remote recording and not just get the file by e-mail.

Ok thanks for your help on that. So when you say plug the monitoring output into the mixer use another trs to trs balanced cable that I would have to buy and put it into an external mixer then? And I would be able to rout things like that?

I have always used a mixing console. I specifically use an 8 bus board, and an 8 input interface. Not only can I record a whole band at once, or at least take 4-5 tracks for my drums. But zi cam also leave all kinds of specialty channels set for certain instruments. And any channel can go to any track or group at any time. Plus, I can track with compression eq, and verb, so my tracks need less help later, and playing back through the board gives me another level check on the way to the speakers.

I want to be able to hear a background track through the same USB audio interface headphones through which I hear my guitar and mic, so that I can record the latter two using OBS, in proper time with the background track. That way the background track, guitar and mic can kept separate while recording, then be mixed together later by my son, in FL Studio.

In Reaper, you set your interface up as the default playback device. You can then listen to the layback through headphones when recording one (or 2) tracks while listening to already recorded tracks. That way nothing bleeds through from playback into your mic(s). Dos that sound like what you are trying to do?

If you feel like you would like to do a half-hour (or however long) call to get you able to do this pretty quickly, I offer coaching calls (I use Zoom so we can share screens, etc.) for $50 per half-hour. If you decide you want to do that, just let me know.

Thanks Ken. While technically true, most decent interfaces in 2019 have latency that is basically negligible, unless you have a driver problem or a problem with your computer. And if you monitor using the headphone jack in the interface, you can effectively have zero-latency monitoring. If you do have a few milliseconds of latency that becomes noticeable, it is quick and easy to fix that in the multitrack software (DAW). That would be my suggestion. It seems more expensive and involved to try to hook up external sound cards directly to your motherboard. I actually did that back around 2003, before USB interface units were so good and affordable. Never looked back.
