First time the server takes longer to start because it creates and populates the initial db schema and data.Any other startup should take less time.Also make sure to a proper hardware sizing.Regards
Hi Ortwin. It is always possible to restore a copy of the database stored in the old laptop. There are some technical considerations, but overall, you should only create a backup in the older computer and restore it in the new one. Here you can read how to do it using HeidiSQL. If you used other database manager PostgreSQL, then you can find online tutorials. Bear in mind that there are two databases involved. These are the ones you create while deploying Mifos. You don't necessarily need to backup both of them (only the one containing your data) but this depends on your setup..Best regards,Fernando.
