now is why would someone pick one method over another? What is the use case
scenario for both? **

PS I can understand using the reverse and redo disbursal features, I¹m
just not sure how one would use the cancel-reschedule...

You reschedule a loan when you want to change the repayment terms for the remaining balance:

For rescheduled loans, the history of previous payments for the loan are not removed from the system.
