I have Facing error in mifos X android app, 

When I have mark pinpoint Location Facing error is''Failed to pinpoint location' '

In my view this is very old as i can see it was last updated in March of 2017  - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mifos.mifosxdroid&hl=en 
I believe the latest build is far much better and there could me issues like these that have been solved 

A lot of activity can be seen on this repo in terms of issues and https://github.com/openMF/android-client/issues and  https://github.com/openMF/android-client/pulls. But the release is kinda old

Hi Dhiraj,

Please get the APK from the below drive link. it contains the APK as of  August 2020

It should work on the 18.03 release without any issue, but not tested on the lower versions of Mifos.

Also, wanted to update you that Community is working towards refining all the mobile apps to be compatible with the latest Mifos release, which should be out soon.

As it is an open-source community, every volunteer /Contributors are welcome in refining the projects and make them more robust 

You could contribute too by raising tickets and sending fixes to the below links, along the process of exploring and adopting the Mifos System.

So I saw a PPT presentation by someone here there were UI mockup designs for a proposed  new customer/self service mobile app. Wanted to start some work on that but designer  wasn't comfortable sharing design files with non-Mifos folks. What can I do to kick-start this?

Dear Bharath and Dhiraj,

Please note that the lower versions of MifosX, the login interface was not sending an API request because by design fineract in those versions is as such. With the latest builds the login was converted into an API interface. So you are likely to be faced with login issues.

In fact I could have inverted  my communication in this email about which versions it will work with. Just know that there were improvements at log in as initially the credentials where not encrypted and an issue and PR was raised to address it.

 sir i have one concern about version 18.03.01, I had installed this version but I was facing below issue that's why i have remove this and install 17.07.01

I just added a new Custom Data Table for Client in order to have some additional params.

When I open Clients, select any client and try to open a tab all I see is just a red rectangle.

No add button or ability to delete/edit data.

 Can you have any resolution for the error below ??? 

Android client app is supported to the new release version 21.07.01???If yes then can I upgrade this version?

Dear Dhiraj,

If you are starting to use MifsoX in a fresh environment or planning for production purposes, I (this is my personal view backed by my experiences) will strongly advise that you use 27.07.01. 

1- I have over 10 live productions of 17.07.01 but this version, I know a number of issues in it that were solved in 18.03.01 but this version also had some challenges of its own. (in fact i never used it i never had time to test it. I have 2 live productions of 27.07.01 and am planning to move all my 10 installations of 17.07.01 to 27.07.01
2- Release 27.07.01 ( Wow wow  i raise my hands to this great community ) there is a lot that has been added, alot that has been fixed alot of improvements i can say it is 130% better than 17.07.01

3- When you see a challenge in 27.07.01, i am sure it will be fixed much faster than seeking for help on 17.07.01

Dear Pius,

The reason i have 27.07.01 is that you dont have to run any upgrade scripts unless you altered your older versions of FINERACT like me. 

Even if you have added data tables before or anything in the database, you will not have any issues. 

All you need to do is 

1- Install 27.07.01 on a new PC and start it from scratch (your have to follow the usual steps eg create database fineract_default and fineract_tenants) etc etc 
2-After that stop it and restore your 17.07.01 backup into the same installation where your new environment is. U can do by replacing the contents of fineract_default with your backup or creating another restoring your same 17.07.01 with its name in this new mysql installation u have. 

3- if u restore it with its name, then you have to go and change the database pointer in fineract_defaul.tenant_server_connections see image below

This is why I said I love the latest release. the upgrade is at the boot up time if you point your schema_name to your 17.07.01 database in a table tenant_server_connections.

Please note that
17.07.01 uses Java 8 while 27.07.01 needs java 15.0.2 - 
17.07.01 needs mysql 5.6 while 27.07.01 needs 5.7
17.07.01 needs tomcat7 while 27.07.01 needs tomcat9

my Advice is u take a backup of your 17.07.01 and images and signatures into a freshly completed installation of 27.07.01 
at boot up, the update scripts will do their magic if they fail, you will look into the logs and sort them  out one by one

We have successfully Installed new version 21.07.01 on AWS WEB, And now Working Fine, but Still i have Facing issues in Mobil App, 

When I have create client and hit submit button there are no any response, i have attached screen recording for your reference And I have also Facing PINPOINT LOCATION ERROR as it is. 

Use web version is 21.07.01

ANDROID app: I have used latest version which has proved by Mr. Bharath
