Hello

Apologies for cross posting, I need some guidance in designing new
Pentaho reports. Am running on Tomcat, Mifos 2.5 and Java 1.7

I have created a report using Pentaho report designer and can view the
report's information using the pentaho report designer. But when I
upload the report's .prpt file to mifos 2.5 i get the error below.

I even tried to upload the .prpt file directly into the C:\Program
Files\Apache Software Foundation\Tomcat 6.0\webapps\mifos\WEB-INF
\classes\pentaho where the Pentaho reports are stored but that too
didn't help

Any one who has come across this and managed to get a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Thomas,

It is possible that this problem is related to Tomcat. To be sure about
this, please try to upload this report on one of our test servers and
check if you are getting the same error.

Best regards,
Lukasz

Hello Lukasz;

After setting up Jetty 7.3 as per your instructions, I have tried
uploading the report that I had designed in Pentaho Report Designer
But the Same Error of 'Failed to open URL connection", still shows
up.

My query is, all the default reports that come with mifos are working
fine. What I need to get to learn is how to design new reports, the
same way the default reports were designed.

Regards,

Hi Thomas,

Did you follow the instructions from this wiki page:

Hi Lukasz,

Finally got this to work Thanks a lot.

So I realised only when I have the .mifos folder on the Home
Directory i.e C:\.mifos
Then the new designed reports can be uploaded and viewed.

Tx
