[Mifos-users] Client/Group specific Moratorium

Hi All,

Is it possible to define a moratorium specific to a loan, client or group?

The holiday feature allows a moratorium to be specified for a MFI, one or more of it's branches or centers.

But could not find a way to define it for a group or client or loan.

Attached is the email from Ryan which was posted a few days back  how to get this done indirectly.

 

Another option is to use the grace period option on the loan product which allows you to give moratorium for the initial installments of the loan but not sure if you have a way to provide a moratorium in between loan schedules.

Binny,

Moratorium cannot be applied to centers.  The lowest it can be applied to is Branches.  Not sure where you saw center ability...

Ryan, you are right.

I am having multiple levels of offices. Hence confused it with centers.

I was reading the Moratorium feature description at:

It says:

• Once the user has chosen either the branch or the client /group/center he proceeds to the page where he can enter the moratorium information. User enters the start date and end date of the moratorium ....

So was hoping there was an easier way than closing the account.

Ahhh,

Yes, that is over 2 years old and the original requirements we had envisioned.  Some day, I think we would like to offer that functionality but extending the functionality past the branch level is a much more significant piece of work (From what I remember).
