Hello Team,

 

Am having a challenge when embedding a Pentaho report into Mifos. I have developed a report in Pentaho reports designer that is showing data correctly in text and graphs, however when I embed it to Mifos it only shows text data and not the graphs as expected.

Please advise me on what I need to do to rectify this in case any of you have ever experienced this issue.

Hello Sampath,

 

Please see attached catalina error file plus the .prpt file. I have also noticed that the other reports charts are not showing i.e. the dashboard charts on the landing page as well as when I try build a chart report. It could be an issue with displaying all types of charts. I am on version 18.03.01.

Hello Santosh,

 

Could it be this issue you commented on https://github.com/openMF/community-app/issues/2041

 

Since all the charts are not showing in Mifos, both the ones in the homepage dashboard as well as when I build a chart report.

The ticket is closed because PR is merged. It's yet to be tested with latest code from develop branch.

This looks like some of the requried jar files are missing in the MifosX code. 
@Santosh Math Could you please create a ticket in JIRA and assign to the developers.

Hi Team,

The below specified jar file is missing pentaho-reporting-engine-classic-extensions-3.7.0-ga.jar.  It also supports a bunch of other extensions too. As Andrew is looking out for bar code/charts specific extension. He can add  this jar in his  code locally and get his report as expected.

Please see attached catalina error file plus the .prpt file. I have also noticed that the other reports charts are not showing i.e. the dashboard charts on the landing page as well as when I try build a chart report. It could be an issue with displaying all types of charts. I am on version 18.03.01.

Thanks for your input. I have downloaded the pentaho-reporting-engine-classic-extensions-3.7.0-ga.jar and have saved it in the folder containing the other .jar files (C:\tomcat\webapps\fineract-provider) though the graphs are still not showing. Are there any other steps that I need to do to fix the issue?

I have tried copy and pasting new fineract-provider.war file into the webapp folder and restarting but no success yet. It there another way of rebuilding?

Andrew,

I searched and found that the jar version suggested by me supports pentaho 3.9.1 . You can add that jar to your project external dependencies and restart the project locally. In meantime dev team can will try to resolve this issue.

  In my main report I have a subreports and in subreports i have subreports where they gets some values. I want to display the sum of those values from the subreports in the main report. I exported those functions from main reports to subreports, and from subreport to subreport and use open-formula function,but it wasn't successful.

I tried to use the same way in mifos-balance sheet report and it was successfully,

your help is highly appreciated
