Hello Devs,

We have an SMS gateway and would like to integrate it with Mifos X probably using API.

Is there anyone who can give us some directions on integrating Mifos X with another gateway as opposed to using Twillio?

Thanks & Regards;

Zayyad,

I'm certain you have come across the two sections of documentation:

Looking at Terence's Mifos X Messenger page will help too:

Others in the community should be able to help you out with swapping in the SMS gateway of your choice.

Zayyad - perhaps based on your experiences once you get your gateway connected, you can create a wiki page documenting how to set up a new webhook for another SMS gateway other than Twilio. Sangamesh - would you be able to assist Zayyad with this?

Ed

Hello Ed,

I would be glad to help Zayyad. I am already in touch with Zayyad and will get involved once he is ready.

Thanks,

Hi Zayyad,

Certainly the Mifos X Webhooks gives you the flexibility of using your own SMS bridge for SMS gateway integration. Apart from the Twilio bridge, Mifos X Messenger also provides SMS integration with easy extensibility to add your own provider. You just need to code one class with your SMS gateway implementation. Then you can simply set a few parameters including the authentication settings your SMS gateway gives you in the config file and you're done. A quick intro on this was covered in the meetup on Oct 23rd 2014, the video which is available at https://youtu.be/8BXs02B601o

Hi we are also working on having contract with one sms gateway provide. There have credited our account for demo and development purposes, could you code for us the class. Find the API doc here http://docs.africastalking.com/sms/sending/java

To send a message you will need to make a HTTP POST request to the following url:
POST URL: http://api.africastalking.com/version1/messaging

API Key: 363e07ba3c4c8ea67e1bd9daef9d82532378fc62746f6f8da9601a698780f861
