[Mifos-developer] Mifos X SMS Integration

Hello Devs,

 

We have an SMS gateway and would like to integrate it with Mifos X probably using API.

 

Is there anyone who can give us some directions on integrating Mifos X with another gateway as opposed to using Twillio?

Looking at Terence's Mifos X Messenger page will help too:

Others in the community should be able to help you out with swapping in the SMS gateway of your choice.

Zayyad - perhaps based on your experiences once you get your gateway connected, you can create a wiki page documenting how to set up a new webhook for another SMS gateway other than Twilio. Sangamesh - would you be able to assist Zayyad with this?

Hi Zayyad,

Certainly the Mifos X Webhooks gives you the flexibility of using your own SMS bridge for SMS gateway integration. Apart from the Twilio bridge, Mifos X Messenger also provides SMS integration with easy extensibility to add your own provider. You just need to code one class with your SMS gateway implementation. Then you can simply set a few parameters including the authentication settings your SMS gateway gives you in the config file and you're done.
