Hi Vishnu,
Thanks for your interest in contributing to Mifos for Google Summer of Code (GSOC) 2010!
It sounds like you have good and relevant experience in HTML/CSS. Please note that official application period for GSOC 2010 will probably start around March or April. However, the more up front involvement you have with Mifos and the more you can demonstrate your ability to contribute, the better your chances will be to be accepted in GSOC 2010, so you are welcome to start getting involved.
A couple things I could suggest are:
* download and get the Mifos source code to build—that’s the first step for any GSOC project.
* start looking at or playing around with the blueprint CSS framework
Cheers,

Here's Blueprint:
One idea would be to create a duplicate of the Mifos user interface in
flat HTML, using Blueprint CSS - that alone would be a huge help to
us, as it would show us the way to go forward with Blueprint.
Once that was done, we could start converting a part of Mifos - a few
pages, or a header or sidebar...
One difficult issue is: how can we have Blueprint CSS live next to the
current CSS at the same time, so that pages can use one or the other
or both... so we can do migration over a period of months, instead of
having to convert everything all at once. Do you have ideas about how
that could be done?
