Hi all -

The Mifos team at Grameen Foundation is happy to launch the new
mifos.org website. We've been working for a while to consolidate
information and workspaces from multiple locations on the internet -
aiming for a single, centralized location for all Mifos-related
information.

What this means:
- Wiki content from Java.net moves to mifos.org (some content stays in
Wiki format, other stuff moves into the CMS used for the mifos.org)
- wiki content on java.net is deprecated as of now
- adding and editing information - such as functional specs, tech notes,
etc. - should now be done on mifos.org
- the information is easier to navigate... But there will likely be a
short learning curve for those of you who are familiar with the Java.net
structure

What you should do:
- create an account on mifos.org; if you're a developer, sign up as a
developer, etc.
- once your account is set up, you'll see an editing toolbar on any page
you have permissions to edit
- in particular, check out the Wiki in the developer's section; that's
the place to create new pages, etc.; the syntax is reStructured Text
- if you're involved in a Mifos deployment, please check out the
deployment pages in the Knowledge Center and share your knowledge and
experiences

Then... Explore mifos.org
- http://mifos.org/developers/ is the starting point for, hmm,
developers
- http://mifos.org/developers/wiki is the dev wiki
- http://mifos.org/knowledge is the Knowledge Center: info for
deployment support and functional specs (among other things) live here
- the search tool should help you find pretty much anything

For help editing the non-wiki pages on mifos.org:
http://mifos.org/knowledge/help-center/using-mifos.org/editing-content-o
n-mifos.org

For help editing the wiki on mifos.org:
http://mifos.org/developers/wiki/HelpPage

To reiterate: please start editing and creating any new content on
mifos.org rather than on the Mifos site on java.net. (note that during
the transition it's possible that some content on Java.net might be
newer than on mifos.org - if you notice this please either a) fix
yourself directly or b) let us know and we'll get it fixed)

We're looking for your feedback and comments - send either via the
listservs or directly to edc...@grameenfoundation.org.

Thanks!

Cheers,
-george
