Hi Marius,

Many thanks for reaching out. Great to hear you are interested in the Client Impact Portal project, I hope the project description has given you some understanding about the objectives of the project. If not feel free to let me know so I can address any questions you have.

Within the Mifos initiative we ask students who want to participate in one of our GSoC projects, to familiarise themselves with our codebase and project and make sure they have everything up and running for when the actual project starts. I would therefore encourage you to pick a bug from our JIRA issue tracker  anything however small really, and demonstrate your interest & commitment by submitting pull request(s). This will, typically, increase your chances during the vetting process we'll have to go through when we'll select which students we proceed with from all the GSoC applicants. And if you run into any issues getting set up, or in picking up an item, our mailinglist mifos-d...@lists.sourceforge.net can be a great resource, so be sure to check it out.

Good luck with your GSoC application and feel free to get in touch with any questions you might have.

Sander
