Inadequate infrastructure remains an obstacle to India’s achieving its full growth potential. Recognising the pressing need for improving transport infrastructure and its role for stimulating employment and economic activity, Government has initiated several policy measures for building world-class connectivity in the country.
Against this backdrop, I am delighted to inform you that Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organizing the 7th edition of ‘India Infrastructure Summit’ on Wednesday, 16th November 2016 at Federation House, New Delhi.
We have invited Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and Shipping for inaugurating the Summit. The confirmed speakers include Mr Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog and Mr Rohit Kumar Singh, Joint Secretary (Highways), Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) among
others.
The Summit brings together Central & State Government officials, key policymakers, regulators, leading infrastructure developers, contractors, consultants, equipment & material suppliers, investors & financial institutions and other stakeholders in a dialogue designed to address key issues & concerns pertaining to infrastructure sector.
