Hi guys,
I'm going through the book and would like to share my findings and opinions about our business model and its canvas.
Our pattern is called "bait &hook" in which we offer an inexpensive initial product that results in purchases of related products. Multi-sided platform pattern does not suit us as it requires two different group of customers and the solution should bring them together.
For the revenue streams, it is better to write "1 x device purchase" and "frequent purchases of cartridges"
For cost structure, it is better to write "manufacturing", "marketing", and "distribution".
For customer relationship, it is better to write "personal assistance through call center and online help system".
For key activities, it is better to write "production of device and cartridges", "marketing", and "logistics".
For key resources, it is better to write "production plant", "patents on system", and "distribution channels".
For key partners, we should not include "salesman" as it is not a strategic partner but channel.
Other than that, I think we better revise our customer segment to make it easier to address and more broad. It can "organic food lovers", "home-cookers" or something similar. This way, the target segment sounds very very niche and as we plan to have our own manufacturing site, it will be impossible to be profitable.
