Challenge: Beads

Tonights semich.rb meeting is having a coding challenge (http://
pastie.caboo.se/100490), coincidentally I decided to take a peak at
erlang over the weekend for the first time and figured I would try the
bead challenge.

There is a lot to like about erlang, I am far from a "functional
programming" expert, but it is providing an enjoyable change/challenge
for my (just turned) 40 year old brain.
