Hi Everyone,
Thanks to those that got on the call today! We had a good discussion and came out with a couple concrete next steps.
Please reply and let us know if you're interested in getting involved either of the following activities:
1. Midwest Fair Climate Toolkit: Best Practices, Strong Resources and Organizing How-Tos - A Grassroots Guide to Building Fair and Equitable Solutions to Climate Change in the Midwest: One project idea that came out of the call was to compile a toolkit that meets a number of the needs identified in our next steps conversations. The scope and resources for this project are TBD, but we'd like to know who else would be interested in contributing, if you know of any resources that might be available for this project, and if you'd have any interest in taking a leading role in developing it.
2. Senate Strategy on Climate Legislation: As the Senate begins to develop a climate bill, a number of the organizations that came to the summit are working hard to determine a strategy to pass a strong climate bill. We'd like to know if your organization is working on a senate strategy and if you'd like to talk with other groups from the summit on how we might collaborate on a state-by-state basis.
We also talked about broadening this listserv and these projects to other groups and individuals that might be interested even if they weren't at the summit.
Please feel free to invite others to get involved in these projects and join this listserv.
Be in touch if you'd like to get invovled! We'll be holding another call soon to create a more concrete plan for both. See call notes below.
Best,
Kassie

reach out to the group and see if there are any other groups that want
to work with them most closely.
