*Approaching the five year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, this
research
summit aims to return scholars who conducted post-Katrina research back
to
the Gulf Coast region to share their findings with the communities they
once
studied. This interdisciplinary conference seeks paper proposals from
those
who received grants to study the natural, social, political, and
economic
effects of Hurricane Katrina in its devastating wake to present their
research to help communities threatened by natural disasters and chaotic
disruptions to become more resilient in the future.*

*Submission of Abstracts:*

* Issue areas may include any area or application of community
resilience from all academic disciplines, including disaster mitigation,
geographic and scientific perspectives, and economic, political, and
social
resilience.

* Abstracts for presentations should be between 250-500 words, and
should be sent as attachments in a .doc, .docx, or .pdf format.
