For those whom might have missed it, we tested out the second life of my etching tank. I ran in to a issue where where it had begun to leak where the airline ran in at. In this version its all Plexiglas two valve's and a ton of sealant. The angle of the bottom had some unexpected happy accidents  My original thought was for it to help with it drain. In fact it drains very well and quickly. I benefit this to the fact that the holes in the bottom are in a diagonal patter in sets of three, where the patter is closest to the wall allows for the solution to ride the wall and hence drain quicker than drops. This also works better on the shallow end. The whole thing can be drained in about 3 to 5 minutes, flushing is about the same length, so what use to be about an hour job of putting away can be done in about 20 minutes now.

First image shows old tank that failed due to leak at where the air line comes in at, the second image shows new design with air chamber, eliminating the air line completely.

The first piece we did for the night was some artwork made free hand with Sharpie by a very talented young lady.

Second piece was one where I was experimenting using a laminater bought from Harbor Freight. It took about 50 passes to get it to stick but it did a perfect job. It was also a double sided board. Due to the laminater limitations I used thin board.

Third run for the night was Kit's boards designs. This one was a thermal transfer using vinyl on paper then iron on transfer. It's copper was a bit more thinker and turned the solution dark dark green almost black.

The first image is the solution after the three boards, and the second image was after 12 hours of bubbling. Dan encourage leaving it set up over night and to my amazement its was about as clear as the start of the first board.

Over all I'm very pleased with the new design.

What is the etch time? Is it faster than the old tank?

It's better than Ben's tank. It's got really nice agitation with the way the bubbles are flowing.
