Republic Meetings....

Starting a thread on the Republic Coffee meetings....

Seems we are slightly larger than the back room is, or those tables are just too bulky. Anyone got any idea's?

I'll throw in that the Main Library is accross the street, but I think the meeting rooms closes down at 7:55pm - 8pm, and those hours could be affected by local goverment budget issues.

Re: the Benjamin Hooks library rooms: Unless you're a 501(c) corp, it costs to rent those rooms - and even 501(c)'s only get 1 free meeting per month. Plus, they would generally have to be scheduled over a year in advance to have any chance of a regular meeting date.

As far as space goes, it's definitely the tables - WAY too bulky. I think we could fit double the number of people and still have room for 2 or 3 standard 6ft tables. Can we ask to move them somewhere else for the meeting?
