Hey Keith, here's a few links to the printer I've been watching. Looks like they guys letting loose with more details than before.

Dru,

There is a reprap version called lemon curry.  Its underway, but things have been a little slow lately.  You may want to look at this one … http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/b9creations/b9creator-a-high-resolution-3d-printer .  Kits are sold out and are said to be shipping shortly.

Also, keep in mind that unless you get low/no VOC resin, the curing process releases extremely toxic fumes.

Thanks for the link Sonny. One of Keiths friends is going to try to build something like one of these. I had heard the fumes rank up there with that of a meth lab "Not that I would personally know". It's intresting to see this style of printer and how far the guy is letting more details out now.

Hey Dru

Perhaps all you need is a computer, software, DLP projector, computer controlled Z-axis, and some photo-polymer.
This looks like it could be very "doable".
I'll forward to my friend Mike that's considering building one. He's the guy that made the 40W laser cutter that I've tried to encourage to become a member.

Thanks,

Keith
