Using watercolor and gouache,
students will develop their personal vision by using different resource
materials, such as photographs, art history, memory and direct observation.
Mixed Media Drawing with Ed Rainey

135 + 15 materials fee
Students will use different materials such
as charcoal, acrylic paint, collage, ink, and graphite to develop their own
approach to art making. This class is for intermediate students.
Introduction to Abstraction with Hamlett

Using a variety of methods and materials,
students will better understand the roots of abstraction and allow them to
recognize its role in our daily lives and to discover ways it might fit
into their particular studio practice.
Expressive Figure Drawing and Painting

This class will focus on an expressive
approach to interpreting the figure with an emphasis on planar development,
composition, and the figure's relationship to the environment.
Acrylic Painting with Melissa Dunn

Beginner and Up

This class explores basic color theory and
essential acrylic painting techniques. Building grounds, washes,
glazes, dry brushing, and wet on wet will be used as the student discovers
the ease and veratility of acrylic paint.
Sculpture with Wire and Found Objects with
Maysey Craddock
Fridays, October 12 - November 2
four classes
9:00am - 12:00pm
150 + 20 material fee
Beginner and Up
In this class, the creative process is a
conversation between artist and object: a dance with found material.
Students will work with objects that have significance to them and
then put them together in a unique way.
