My apologies for a late January Dayton Modelrama update.   Around Christmas, one of my grandchildren passed along a gift that included a bad cold or flu, I’m just getting over it!  Our reservation portal for 2026 Dayton Modelrama opened on December 1^st, in the first 15 days we recorded 180 table reservations.   We expected and experienced a slow period during the holidays.  Now, with the holidays behind us, I’m pleased to announce that we have surpassed 225 table reservations.  This activity leads us to believe this could be banner year for Dayton Modelrama.  

Dayton Modelrama will take place on March 20^th and the 21st at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton, OH.   For those of you who have not attended, our two-day R/C Expo is housed in two buildings and features 42,000 square feet containing all things RC (both new and used).  For the past four years we’ve sold over 350 tables at each event (370 last year or 740 tables over the two-day period).  A giant auction will follow the show on Saturday afternoon, so if your merchandise doesn’t sell at your table, you can choose to place your items in the auction!

There are two groups of people I would like to address, if you’re a buyer of merchandise, Dayton Modelrama is the perfect event to find all things RC.   You’ll find thousands of new and used items.  You’ll find everything from complete models to parts and pieces, building supplies etc.   In addition, we’ll have a number of distributors showcasing their latest merchandise.  

To the group looking to clear out their hanger, Dayton Modelrama is the perfect venue, large crowds assure activity at your table.   Your second consideration for renting tables is the value proposition.  I’m going to use the example of a modeler renting a two-day interior table, your table rents for $28.  Table rental includes your two-day entrance fee ($10 each day) leaving your table cost at $8 and access to a lot of buyers.         

Here is what you need to know -   

• Show information and table reservations are available at www.daytonmodelrama.com.
• Show dates and times - Friday March 20^th, 9:00AM to 3:00PM and 8:00AM to 3:00 Saturday the 21st.Swappers and vendor set up begins at 7:00AM.The Saturday Auction starts at 1:00PM.Thursday afternoon set up is available by appointment, call Paul at 937-361-7696
• Location – Montgomery County Fairgrounds 645 Infirmary Rd. Dayton, OH 45417
• In this day of price increases, we are pleased to announce that all show and table prices remain the same as the last four years.  Table prices are very competitive; One day tables start at $22, or a two-day table can be purchased for $28 (that’s $14 per day).Booths and wall tables are available at a slightly higher price.  You can rent an interior table for one or two days; wall tables and booths are two days rentals only.
• Concessions and two ATM’s are on site
• Raffle prizes will be awarded at the close of each day, and you need not be present to win.  Dozens of door prizes from our great vendors will be awarded throughout the event.
• The fairgrounds have completed work on their new campground located within walking distance of the event.  Both primitive and RV sites are available.  Check details at our website, www.daytonmodelrama.com.Camping in the parking lot is no longer allowed (by the state of Ohio).  See website for the reservation process.
• There are two ways to reserve tables.  I’ve attached a manual form that can be completed and mailed with a check (payable to Dayton Wingmasters).You can complete and mail it now and it will be processed on the 1^st.Note, tables cannot be reserved until payment is received.
