How can I stop just the caret (text cursor) from inverting on Google Docs?

I have enabled 'Do not invert dynamic content' which stops Docs from blinding me at night without altering the contents of the page, but the caret is not considered dynamic (as it is always black). If I change the overall text settings, it makes the Docs UI text unreadable as it no longer contrasts with the background.
