Just got the beer list for this weekend from Gerry Keane, proprietor
of The Anchor in Digbeth. I was trying to find a beer featuring whisky
in the cask as we attended this event last year and enjoyed some
awesome brews from north of the border. Anyway, here's the menu for
this weekend...
Angus Ales Brewery - Angus
Gowfer’s Gold - 3.8% - Golden, refreshing ale.
Mashie Niblick - 4.2% - Full flavoured, malty ale.

Ayr Brewing Co Ltd - Ayrshire
Jolly Beggars Best Bitter - 4.2% - Full fruit palate, sweet maltiness
with hints of spice.

Broughton Brewery - Peeblesshire
Champion Double Ale - 5.5% - Dark velvety with rich roasted flavours.

Cairngorm Brewing Co Ltd - Morayshire
Winter Flurry - 3.8% - Delicate malt flavour, with hints of caramel
and a spicy finish.

Caledonian Brewing Co Ltd - Midlothian
Deuchars IPA - 3.8% - Golden, well balanced and citrusy with hints of
grapefruit.

Auld Acquaintance - 4.4% - Amber with flavours of sweet nutty
chocolate and a hint of malt in the finish.

Deeside Brewery - Aberdeenshire
Lulach - 4.0% - Pale amber, well balanced with a touch of nuttiness.
Nechtain - 4.1% - American style pale ale. Lots of citrusy bitterness.
Talorcan - 4.5% - A velvety smooth and creamy porter.

Fyne Ales Brewery - Argyllshire
Hurricane Jack - 4.4% - Smooth, golden ale with dry citrus flavours.
Avalanche - 4.5% - Straw coloured, deliciously dry with a hint of
grapefruit in the finish.

Harviestoun Brewery - Clackmannanshire
Haggis Hunter - 4.3% - Floral, hoppy and spicy.

Highland Brewing Co Ltd - Orkney Islands
Auld Anchor - 4.0% - A well rounded spicy dry hopped ale.
Lang May Yer Lum Reek! - 4.0% - A citrusy and biscuity well balanced
bitter.

Strong Northerly - 5.5% - Subtle, well balanced, premium and hoppy
ale.

Inveralmond Brewery -Perthshire
Perth 800 Ale - 4.0% -
Santa’s Swallie - 4.3% - Dark copper coloured ale with a hint of
nutmeg and cinnamon.
Burn’s Fuggles Fail - 4.7% - Smooth, dark, full bodied beer with a
deep malty taste and hints of chocolate. Dry hopped.

Loch Leven Brewery - Fife
Golden Goose - 3.7% - Golden, well balanced session ale.
