I am using a simple MIDI to USB cable in order to record with my
keyboard. Unlike my computer, your program is not picking up my device
(CASIO CTK - 651). What steps can I take to correct this?

Hi, I'm in office now, No devices here, I will have a look when I go
home on your question.
I guess that your Midi Devices Driver not installed correctly.
If your deivices installed OK, your will find a midi-input device in
control panel, and my program will found it.
