OSStatus error 99999

I tried installing the latest version (2.9.5.0) of Midi2LR, but it isn't working and I keep getting the following message:

The operation couldn't be completed. (OSStatus error 99999)

I tried entering the following into Terminal:

sudo cp /var/db/.SystemPolicy-default /var/db/SystemPolicy

I also tried reinstalling macOS High Sierra (10.13.6) and that didn't do anything either.

Has anyone else had this issue or any resolution? I tried downloading and installing older versions of Midi2LR, but I still get the same error message.

Updating macOS to Mojave resolved this issue for me.
