Hi!
Am I correct to assume that it is not possible to do everything with Midi2LR that you can do in Pfixer?
I absolutely love Midi2LR and I'd like to give a BIG thanks to the developers, but I notice that there are some difficulties on the windows platform.

Is this correct?

Hi :-)

The best part is that it's donationware. :-)

You are free to pay if you like it and feel that it has improved your workflow tremendously you can say and pay your thank$$$ to the author.
Especially if that has contributed to increasing your free time or increased somehow your income.

As for the tech specs:
  • pfixer provides only: "plus up to 4 develop presets".. Midi2LR can assign up to 40 presets to attach to a key each (provided you have the desired midi keys available).
  • It is still IMHO in its infant stage. And yet it's quite accomplished already. Few things might be still missing due to bad Adobe LR API.
  • A good community so far that provides some feedback for bug fixing.
I am confused what pfixer can do (better than midi2lr)?

I am not the author of this software, only a happy fanatic. But I can tell you right away you'll need to provide at least:

  • some hardware specs?
  • midi controller brand name and model.
  • Additionally describe your issue.
Sorry for answering instead of the author. Just saw it. Decided could help a little. ;-)

HI,
I would be interested in sharing experience on how to map LR with X-Touch Mini (juts bought it few days ago).
I'am trying to map the "very convenient" Keys og PFIXER manually, but I am facing some problems.
For exemple :
- Do I need to put GLobal Channel at Null as PFIXER ask ? Why since I don use their soft?
- How to map the 4 "Modes" buttons like PFIXER to re-assign the 8 encoders based on Mode. BASIC Mode / HUE Mode  / SATURATION Mode /LUMINANCE Mode
I couldn't find the shorcuts (I think for Basic mode, the shorcut is "Ctrl+1" - You can see it in lightroom pannel "Windows", just before the "Help" panel.

Does anyone know how to fix that, sinc there are other button that I couldn't find shortcuts.

I am on Win7 64bits/French/ LR 6 English/ French Keybord "AZERTY"

Also, I've noice in the past that some shorcut are messing; especially the Before/After in Developpement module

-If English --> Shortcut "\" is KO

-If I set it to French --> Shortcut "Alt+>" works, but not the "\" mentioned in the Help menu

I asked Victoria Bampton (www.lightroomqueen.com), and she gave me the trick to fix it : Edit a TranslatedStrings file to change the shortcut - it's just caused by the mismatch of languages.
here: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/shortcuts-dont-work-language-version-non-english-keyboard-can-fix/

I hope these could help.
Tnahks in advance.

By the way, I would be happy to contribute in bug correction. So please let me know If I could help (I dont have developpement skills thought)

You can change modes by loading different profiles, and these can be triggered by going into different Develop panes in LR. See the wiki section on profiles for more information. PFixer and MIDI2LR are very different programs, so the ways of going about getting it to do what you want are very different. I'm unfamiliar with how PFixer works so I can't give you instructions on how to make MIDI2LR work in a similar manner.
