I'm using an  X-touch mini midi controller because it looked stable on the youtube videos I saw. I installed everything as instructed.
Configured the profiles in a million different ways (with my own configes and other users configes) with the same results.
I can only switch profiles with prev. and next. I can't trigger different profiles with a button. It stays on the same profile. I read the wiki pages but nothing works.
I'm running windows 10, and the latest version of lightroom cc "classic". Everything is up to date. Please help me isolate
the problem. Video, screenshots, links, instructions, anything. Thank you in advance.

Don't Panic !

Your problem is very likely that you did not configure any profiles in the "profiles" section of the MIDI2LR options where you can specify the names of the profile files.

I did use the options page but it still didn’t work. I can only use the next and previous profile functions. When I configure a button for a profile, it doesn’t work. It stays on the same profile and doesn’t switch. It say that the other profiles name but doesn’t switch the xml configuration. It uses the original profile’s configuration.
Ex.
I’m in basic
I hit the profile for color
It says color on the screen
I turn the knob or press a button and it uses the basic configuration settings. The xml doesn’t change on the midi2lr plugin. It still says basic on the lower left side.

In the root of the plugin directory there should be a file MIDI2LRInfo.txt, please post the contents of this file here.

Please check that you have entered the correct filenames (with .xml) in the profiles section of the MIDI2LR options,
these entries are not validated and will not work if they have been entered wrongly. (this may also include differences in upper/lower case).

I figured out the problem. I have an audio interface that has a midi interface built in. I believe it was conflicting with the x- touch. I deleted all the devices from the device manager and started fresh. It works now. Thanks for trying to help.I appreciate it.

Hi,

I recently got the xtouch mini and i am currently experiencing the same issue here. I am attempted all the suggested fixes below (I have checked the options menu) but am still unable to change profiles. The profile name flashes on the lightroom console as i press the mapped button, but the profile in the MIDI2LR window does not change. It is exactly as how the previous post describes. Please advise if this is an issue faced by others, and some possible suggestions on how to fix it.

Thanks!

Within the MIDI2LR server commands are assigned to the buttons, to select a particular profile a command like "Profile: x" is used which is the same what is displayed on the right hand side of the "Profiles" tab in the MIDI2LR options. When the button is pressed a message is send to the MIDI2LR plugin, the plugin gets the profile filename from the options, instructs Lightroom to display the name (without .xml) and sends a commnd to the MIDI2LR server to load the profile from the profile directory using the filename (with .xml).  If this does not work you should make sure that you have specified the correct filenames in the options settings, meaning the complete filename with the suffix .xml and that the filename is available in the profiles folder. The profiles folder can be found in the MIDI2LR server settings.
