Hi,

This past days I worked (and still working) on a Lightroom UI for TouchOSC, with MIDI2LR mappings. All can be found on GitHub at:

The TouchOSC UI is nearly complete, and the Midi Fighter Twister mapping is still to do.

Constructive feedbacks are welcomed :-)

Some things I realized when doing the TouchOSC UI:
  1. Faders are better than encoders when using on phone or tablet (more precise)
  2. On some devices, you might require a stylus pen because your finger might be too big
I found some features missing from MIDI2LR (or did not find), but hopefully, some workarounds exists for some by using presets. Here are the list, I hope you guys to tell me if I can do it another way :-)
    1. No way to see what MIDI2LR sends to the MIDI Controller (the opposite is true though)

    2. Lense Correction: no mapping to switch / reveal Profile / Manual views

    3. No support for Lightroom's "Copy..."
=> I am using MIDI2LR's copy, but i dot not like it because you often copy ONCE and paste several times. So it is better to select what to copy first.

    4. No support for Lightroom's "Paste" (direct paste)
=> I am using MIDI2LR's selected paste, but i dot not like it because you often copy ONCE and paste several times. So it is better to select what to copy first.

    5. No support for the different "Post-Crop Wignetting Style" options: the button cycles, but I would like to have a multi-toggle panel with 3 buttons, exclusive
=> I used presets to simulate

    6. "Auto Tone" mapping is missing
=> I used presets to simulate

    7. "Constraint crop" toggle buttons are missing

    8. "Profile correction" and "Remove chromatic abberation" toggle buttons are missing
=> I check them in my import preset, but it is not ideal for everybody

    9. "Point Curve" options from drop-down not mapped
=> I used presets to simulate

    10. "Color / B&W Treatment" missing toggle buttons for each: the actual one cycles across the options, but I'd like to have one button for each or being able to support a multi-toggle exclusive that mimics the drop-down / choice selection

    11. "White Balance": same as before, I'd like to have the ability of having a mutli-toggle where the selected value is sent back to the Midi Controller

Some of these are missing MIDI2LR options in the menu, and some are much more related to how we can have a toggle button (that mimics Lightroom's checkbox) and some multi-toggle buttons (mimics Lightroom's dropdowns), and for both, having MIDI2LR sending back the selected value to the midi controller.

I do not know if all of that is possible, but this is what I found so far :-)

MIDI2LR is a really good project!
    Thanks you Rory Jaffe !

On the copy/paste, MIDI2LR should paste multiple times--it doesn't clear the settings in the copy until you load a new copy.

You can map keystrokes in MIDI2LR to use Lightroom's copy and paste in Windows--the mapping doesn't work on OSX because of a problem sending a command key to LR.

Some things are missing from the Lightroom SDK. I managed to find some undocumented things, which I'm using, but some of the missing things are missing because I can't get them to work through LR.

I suggest looking at the Lightroom SDK, to see if I missed something that's available.

    Thanks I'll have a look :-)

For the key mapping, I tried to map CTRL+U for auto tone instead of using a preset, but it didn't work. I didn't spend time to look further though. Do we need to restart lightroom or make sure it is not running in the background for that ?

LR must be the foreground application for keyboard shortcuts to work.
