So....

I was thinking - Is it possible that (we all send you NICE photos of our midi devices if not existing on the net already....) a visual map could be used to  see which button for WHAT the *** have assigned. I use 2 midi devices with your marvelous program and tend to forget what was with which button.

With time together (I can help) we can mapp all the sliders and buttons accordingly to each image and have whenever used (let say if activated and opened on a separate window) to enlarge the custom text box (of max 16 symb each) to each used button at the moment?

What do you think? You did it so far, mate!

I'm a bit confused by what you're suggesting. could you explain further or attach an example? Thanks.

Imagine predefined fixed boxes (empty) and a variable for each one. Now in  my case (BTW just found out I still have unused knobs) - whenever an unassigned button or knob = empty box.

Maybe a simple button e.g. F11 (or whatever you think of as a proper trigger) will open a window with predefined in configuration MIDI INPUT dev. (AKAI midimix, KORG nanokontrol2 etc.) and (if available) will display its image with its predefined boxes. And will load their addresses. And whenever a knob is hit a selection as in mine channel 4 slider will highlight.

I guess many of us with some little PS knowledge could help. As a matter of fact once a proper style and font is selected we can use a ready PSD file as a template only to create the boxes for the corresponding MIDI devices and all you will have to do is to assign their proper places in your code.

What do you say? :-)

I think this would be a huge step, since even I realized I am not using all of my knobs ONLY when I saw the IMAGE MAP. ;-)

Of course whenever an assignment is changed the box label text will update too.;-)

Hi Rory.

First of all:

Many thanks for your great work. Now we have the custom presets direct button access. AWESOME!

Just wanted to remind you about this one for your own consideration if you believe this one would be a helpful feature of course. :-)
