I am using iMac 27 (2017) running High Sierra 10.13.6 with Lightroom ver 6.14

When attempting to use MIDI2LR the 'selection bar' flashes and returns to CC 10 (set to split toning balance) and shows a repeating Camera Raw request. This is after moving a fader irrespective of the function last used

SEE attached image

Is this a result of active sensing?
This occurs with all my midi programmers (BCR2000, BCF2000, X Touch Mini)
I have tried an earlier version. I have tried starting from a vanilla MIDI2LR.I have also tried presets created by other users,  but to no avail.
Is there a specific version of MIDI2LR that I should be using?
Should the MIDI2LR application window be open or is it able to work in the background?
Can somebody please help?

The log file is missing the first part of application startup, but looking at the shutdown events, I see that you have a virtual midi driver running.

Stop all midi software before running Lightroom and see if that fixes the problem. It also looks like you're having a keyboard issue that another user found--I'll have a fix for that soon. That keyboard issue is not related to the problem you're reporting, but just wanted to make sure you knew that in case you get this running better and still have problems sending keyboard shortcuts.

Problem was fixed by cleaning up his midi setup.
