Mac adding shortcuts was unclear

I wanted to add a shortcut to key 1, but was unable to find where to do so. As I was looking here : https://github.com/rsjaffe/MIDI2LR/wiki/Commands

I finally figured out that by going within lightroom to file --> plugin extra, midi2lr --> options there was a (for me) new world of options.
