Hello Jamie,

That is the way it is expected when playing Rockband.

Some audio/video setups will show more or less delay.

The calibration that you perform is applied to the sounds coming to the soundtrack, but not to the sounds coming from the drums played during the fills hence the difference in timing.

An option that might work for you is to lower the volume of "Instruments" in the game and use the sounds from your drum module.  This is great when you play alone, but if somebody else is playing with you, let's say on a guitar, then it won't work because the guitar sounds will not be heard.

Hi,
I have had the midi rocker for a few months and cannot get it to work without a sound delay. The game play is fine but during fills there is a long delay between be hitting a pad and hearing the sound. It throws me off and anyone else if they are playing along and makes game play difficult. I have tried adjusting note duration and calibrated the tv and it is still there. I am using Wii, rock band 3, and a Roland TD3 drumset. Any ideas this is frustrating. Thanks!

Hugo is right -- the delay seems to be due to the audio lag in the sound system or TV. Jamie (the original poster) let me know that he was able to solve the problem on his system by changing the routing the audio out of the Wii -- he had it going through the TV, but changed it to go to his sound system and now the delay is gone. Hopefully this solution will help anyone else with the same issue.

As Scott said, I kept the video cables connected to my tv and routed the audio cable directly to my stereo receiver and all delays are gone! Easy and nothing had to be purchased.
