Over the last couple years I've often been asked if I have any more MIDI Rockers to sell and unfortunately I've just about depleted my supply of parts and some of the parts are not even available anymore, so doing another production run of the old design just isn't feasible.
Because the MIDI Rocker doesn't suffer from the "roll limit" issue that plagues the MIDI Pro Adapter from MadCatz/PDP, there is a demand for new MIDI Rockers. I'm also very interested in seeing what new technologies I can incorporate into a new MIDI Rocker to make it better -- things such as small OLED displays, 3D-printed enclosures and mounts, cross-platform software and apps and more...
Thus the MIDI Rocker LX2 is born! Here's a rendering of the prototype:

The new version would be a complete redesign of the original MIDI Rocker LX, and will have all the same features as the old version plus a few new ones. I will be revamping the MIDI Rocker software and making it work on both Macs and PCs. I will try to maintain backwards-compatibility with the old MIDI Rocker as much as possible. Pricing is yet to be determined, but I'm hoping to keep it well under $100 -- like most electronics, the costs are mostly dependent on how large a production run we can do.
I plan to launch a kickstarter for this project to help me cover some of the costs for the redesign and software development. I hope you'll consider being a supporter. I am also making a new mount available for mounting the MIDI Rocker to a drum rack -- it will work with the MIDI Pro, the original MIDI Rocker LX, and the new LX2, so even if you don't need a new LX2 you could help me out by buying a mount. Here's a couple (poor) pictures of the new mount being used with a MIDI Pro:

I'll send out more info later this week. I hope to have the kickstarter project go 'live' in the next week or so.
If you have any suggestions for features you'd like to see in the new LX2, please let me know!
Cheers,
