Hi Olivier
I had a quick chat with Egotronic's agent.
He said that he is sure the band would love to play a Middlegender event due to their political attitude and background.
BUT they play Southside and Hurricane festival on the weekend of june 18.
But he told me he would get in touch when they play their next show in Switzerland, so we could check if there is a way to travel down to Lyon to play a Middlegender regular at a certain point...
Didn't reach the Mediengruppe agent yet...
I will let you know what he says

PS I could suggest the band Uh-Oh for June 18 - they played the middle room at the last queer beats festival which was packed and the audience was freaking out:

I'm sure we'll come at your birthday party with great pleasure.
For our next parties, we are organizing 2 events:
In april, we don't know for the moment if we have a party. It depends of the program in May and June.
In may:
we would organize for the second year the MLF ( Middlegender Love Festival)
It's a kind of queer festival for 2 days: probably saturday 21 and sunday 22 of may.
This year, we have a collaboration with Chrysalide.
It's an organisation in Lyon for Trans-people (Fto M, Mto F...)
And the idea is to have shows (music or performance) about (or around) these questions.
Of course, we thought to you, if you have an idea or a proposition,
it could be great !
Why not Scream Club ?
They live in Berlin now, isn't it ?
These event will be probably at Le Sonic.
In June:
We have an other project for The Gay Pride in Lyon,
the saturday 18 june.
We would like organize the Official Party of the gay pride.
We are looking for a place,
perhap's La Plateforme, an other shif in Lyon.
It's a big party, for 500 people.
We are looking for a group,
a little bit "famous" and "happy" for this day.
We thought at MedienGruppe and Egotronic,
but perhap's it's a little bit to "german" ;-)
It's our ideas for the moment,
we are waiting to know where is possible to do it.
Of course,
we would be happy to associate you and these projects,

Turns out that I've totall overseen that I have an invitation for a DJ-Set on a queer night in Augsburg (taking place in 4 different venues)
which I had confirmed several months ago already...
So flying in Friday afternoon and flying back Saturday noon is a pain in the ass and therefore I took the hard decision to skip it.
Please let me know when the next Middlegender parties are - I definitely would want to come "just to hang out" with you guys...
Also: you can mark in your calendars agust 5/6...
That will be my 50th birthday and I will have a huge party (in a venue that hold 800 people) in Munich, including movie, live-performances (propably Scott Matthew, maybe others as well) and guest DJs...
As we have not only started a nice cooperation between Middlegender and Candy Club/Queerbeat but also something that I would call friendship ;-)
I'm very happy to include you (as friends) in the invitation for that party...
I'll send you details when everything is organized...

Sorry for the slow answer. My little cat died last Saturday and it affected me a lot...
A great artist would be Rae Spoon (for the Chrysalide thing) .

But I do not see shows in Europe anytime soon. Maybe Chrysalide has connections to any kind of sponsorship to pay for the flights - then this would be a great match)
I do not have bands on tour End May.
So I only could suggest queer acts from Germany
- Mosh Mosh (Berlin)
very powerful electronic band, two girls
- Elcasette (Munich) -
and yes, Scream Club live in Berlin. If possible they now perform as a trio (with Romain aka Electrosexual) but Romain will play
at the Candy Club in Vienna on May 21 (this also means I won't be able to come to lyon)
about June 18 - I think Egotronic is easier to deal with moneywise, but I can ask both bands/agents
and will let you know what they say
