Hey running buddies,
Only 3 more weeks until the race!  Wow!  This also means that our mileage will start to gradually taper (did anyone else's xc or track coach refer to this as "Carolina Coast"?)

Here are the workouts for this week:
  • Tuesday:  6x1000 m, 4:45 at Sunderland
  • Thursday:  Tempo run (35 mins + mile warmup and cooldown), 4:45 at Sunderland
  • Saturday:  Long run/race sim, 12 miles (6 miles easy, 6 miles close to race pace), 11:00 at Sunderland
I won't be able to make the workout on Thursday -- would anyone be interested in moving it to Friday?  We don't have class that day because of the symposium, so timing might be a little more flexible.  If we end up moving Thursday's workout to Friday, then we can also shift Saturday's run to Sunday.  What works best for everyone?

Also, here is the link to register for the race:  http://www.middleburymaplerun.com/Home_Page.php  If you register by this Friday, you'll be guaranteed a free t-shirt!

Hope to see you this week!

So I think I'm going to do the 5k on saturday instead of the tempo workout, and then probably do a long run sunday (but I might only do a portion of it)...

If anyone who is planning on registering for the race is a member of Atwater
Commons, we are submitting a proposal at Commons Council tomorrow night to
see if Atwater would like to sponser us for all or part of the $30
registration fee. If you've already registered, that's okay too -- the
Commons Council can reimburse us afterwards. The meeting is tomorrow night
at 7:00 in the Allen lounge -- I can't be there because of an exam, but the
more of us who are able to attend and represent our group the better! If
all the Atwaterians who are planning on racing could reply by tomorrow
evening that would be great, and then we can give the council an estimate of
the total expense.

On a completely different note, would moving the long run to Sunday at 11:00
work for everyone? Also, I'll be running tomorrow's workout on Friday
afternoon -- let me know if you would like to join!

Hey guys,

I've already registered for the race, but I probably won't be able to make it to the meeting tomorrow as I have a screening.

Alex
