I have been on the MK Brewers group almost since the beginning. It has been unused for quite some time. Perhaps if we cross post to revive the group we can reenergize brewers in the Kingdom outside Ayreton. I am not asking you to join if you aren't already subscribed, but if you are, please repost all messages to this group to middle-king...@googlegroups.com. My first topic is: Can we build a thriving Kingdom Guild with the same level of participation as the more local groups?

I am very much into this.

I have been brewing for quite a while, and am largely self-taught;
while it helps to love what you do, it would have been great to have a
resource. We have so many people who do brewing and vinting in the
Kingdom, who produce such tremendous products.

Heck, as many times as I have seen A&S events which have had to have
the judging for brewing done in a hotel room... (shakes head)

I would really like to see a Midrealm Brewer's guild chartered under
the Middle Kingdom.

What can be done to advance this? What do we need to do?

Maelcom,

In my opinion, the biggest thing is communication Kingdom wide. That was my intent in sending the e-mail to both groups. I do not expect everyone to be a part of both, because that would kind of defeat the purpose of having separate guilds. Still, if we can share recipes and ideas the guild will flourish. I agree that a Kingdom Charter would be a wonderful thing to strive for. Pool our resources, talk to members of the other chartered guilds.

I wish I could be of more direct assistance, but for now my role will be to poke the hornet's nest with a stick from the other side of the planet. Although I am now firmly entrenched in Drachenwald, my roots are definitely in the Middle. I want to see a cohesive Kingdom guild able to shape the future of Midrealm brewing. The potential of shaping brewing A&S in a way that all brewers think it needs to move is worth the effort.

Good luck, and thanks for the interest. I trust you all to keep the ball rolling. Don't make me get my stick out again.
