In the hopes of making this brewing guild a chartered and recognized
guild in the Midrealm, I have cobbled together the beginnings of a
charter to get the discussion going on it.

I have no intention of it necessarily incorporating any or all of the
elements that I put in it, it is just intended to get the discussion
going.

It's in the files section - please take a look at it and lets work on
it.

One thing I can see off the top is we should limit the amount of
duplication of effort and confusion of rank between the MRBG and the
IKBG.

It could get rather confusiong if someone is a Master in the IKBG but
only an Apprentice in the MRBG. Perhaps a "fast-track" method of
obtaining rankings based at least partially on IKBG rank (ie; if you
are a Master in IKBG, then perhaps just submit one entry and get a
vote to MKBG Master status...).

Of course if the chartered goals are different (eg; MKBG decides to
concentrate more on historic styles than IKBG does), then the
prospective "fast track" member must make the "difference" (ie; if all
his IKBG entries are post SCA period, he/she must submit a few period
recipies before the vote).

Just some thoughts.

Well, I agree, and believe me - the charter I propfferred was just to get people talking about things - if not a bloody work makes it into the final charter it won't hurt my feelings in the least.

One thing I am somewhat leery about is  - as a guild - our "titles" are internal convenience only; we don't award titles, the crown does.  What we should be doing, as a guild, is tracking the progress of those who are fellow enthusiasts and actively promoting them to the crown for recognition in the Arts and Sciences, as well as sharing information on how to enter wares in A&S competitions and such

Greeting I looked at the information on the Propose Charter and I
found somethinks that are not in the Charter that maybe we should put
in. 1 Non-Alcohol Beverages - Non-Alcohol Beverages is any
beveragesbefore or after brewer that has no alcohol or very low
alcohol (lessthen 1%). This is good for the youth participating and
any othermembers who do not what to have alcohol. This includes Root
Beer,Sweet Water, etc.2 Guild Chapters - Members will be encouraged to
form their ownchapter of the Brewer and Vintners Guild when they have
ten activemembers-three of the members must be Journeyman Level and
two membersshould be Craftsman. To be recognized as a chapter of the
guild, interested parties must submit a letter of intent and agree to
upholdguild standards. In Service, Lord Pierre de Montereau O.W.,
