Of particular interest is the new tv series which debuted this week. These guys are serious beer geeks who have done some historically researched brews in the past. I think you will enjoy.

In this newsletter....

We have so much to tell you about in this November 2010 Dogfish Head newsletter! Since we last appeard in your InBox back in September, we've packaged & released a bunch of beers, stocked up on great Dogfish merch for the holidays, debuted our new and improved Fish Finder and announced our involvement in a brand new Discovery Channel tv series - all about craft beer! Yes, we've been busy ... but we've been having a blast! Read on for all the details (including the latest on our quest for the best 120 Minute IPA). As an aside, check out the pretty darn cool Raison D'Extra tattoo over here --->

About Those Beers

Our winter seasonale Chicory Stout is out now, so stock up. We do brew this beer year-round for our Rehoboth Beach, DE brewpub, but Chicory Stout only gets bottled once a year. Chicory is brewed with organic Mexican coffee, roasted chicory and a touch of St. John's wort. Our other recent releases are our oak-aged Burton Baton, the 2010 World Wide Stout and some Squall IPA . A suprise second batch of Bitches Brew is being shipped to wholesalers now and our strong raspberry Fort will be shipping towards the end of December.

Finding Those Beers

If you've had trouble finding those beers (or any of our 25+ other beers), we have some great news!!! Our new and improved Fish Finder has been launched! The new Fish Finder lets you search for any Dogfish Head beer by brand and by ...... (wait for it) ..... zip code!!! Wow - what an improvement! The new Fish Finder takes data from our wholesalers (they tell the system where they've delivered Dogfish Head beers over the past 60 days) and puts it into a handy online search tool. Now this Fish Finder launched just a week or so ago and so far, data from about 80% of our wholesale partners has been uploaded. We're still tweakig the system - but we've been getting great feedback from those of you in places where the data is up and running. Take it for a spin and let us know what you think!

We also have a slew of brand-new-for-the-holidays items which will appear in the next week or so, including a women's Chicory Stout Thermal, a stoneware mug, a rockin' Patagonia/Dogfish backpack ... and more! Love beer or know a beer lover? We've got you covered!

And Wait ... What's With That 120 Minute IPA?

If you've been following Sam's blog with the updates on the 120 Minute IPA test batches - we have an update for you. He just posted an update this morning. Read all about it! Please know we're working hard to get more 120 Minute IPA out to a store near you, but we know that you want it to be the best it can be.

'Brew Masters' Premiere

Finally - if you can't get to us ... we're coming to you! We'll meet you this Sunday (10pm EST) on the Discovery Channel for the premiere of 'Brew Masters ' - a brand new show about the world of craft beer featuring Sam Calagione and the rest of us here at Dogfish Head. We've had a crew of company since June and they've been toting TV cameras. The 'Brew Masters' camera crews have been hanging at the brewery, the brewpub and hitting the road with us (Peru, Egypt, New Zealand, Italy, Maine, Washington DC to name a few spots) in search of the ingredients and stories behind our beers. The series premiere of 'Brew Masters' (episode #1 tells the story behind our Miles Davis-inspired Bitches Brew) happens this Sunday, 11/21/2010 at 10pm EST on the Discovery Channel. Watch at home or join in one of the dozens of 'Brew Masters' premiere parties around the country!
