The actor allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Alkapur in Telangana on Friday. The news of his demise comes a few days after his co-star and close friend Pavithra Jayaram passed away in a car accident.
Chandrakanth had been mourning Pavithra's loss deeply. He had penned down emotional tributes for his 'Trinayani' co-star. His last post on Instagram was also for Pavithra. The two were reportedly in a relationship.
In one of the posts, he wrote," He wrote, "Papa netho digina last pic raa (cry emojis) not able to digest to left me alone, okasari mama aniii piluveee plsss @pavithrajayaram_chandar. My Pavi is no more (cry and pray emojis) pls ra come back plsss. (This is the last picture I took with you, I'm unable to digest you left me alone. Please call out for me once again. My Pavi is no more, please come back)." He also wrote on his Instagram stories, "Papa pls come back raaa. Pls nee mama kannilu aaplu. (Please come back and wipe my tears.)"
Happy Days is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language musical coming of age film written, produced and directed by Sekhar Kammula. The film features Varun Sandesh, Tamannaah Bhatia, Rahul Haridas, Nikhil Siddharth, Vamsee Krishna, Sonia Deepti, Gayatri Rao, and Monali Chowdhary in the lead roles. The plot explores the college life and experiences of eight friends.
The film was dubbed in Malayalam and remade in Kannada as Jolly Days and in Tamil as Inidhu Inidhu by actor Prakash Raj. The film won six Filmfare Awards South,[2] and three Nandi Awards.[3]
Happy Days tells us a story that explores the lives of eight friends through the four years of their engineering course. Each of them join CBIT with their own set of idiosyncrasies, eccentricities, beliefs and ideals. What starts off as a journey of individuals, slowly becomes a collective one over time. They bond over as they go through bullying seniors, stringent professors, intense examinations, over the top celebrations, love, betrayal, sacrifice and every other possible emotion that an individual can experience in a college. The movie portrays the mindset of a typical engineering student which helped youth to connect with the characters involved.
Sekhar Kammula held a talent search at Big FM and idlebrain.com and managed to select seven of the eight lead actors. He had to cast Tamannaah Bhatia as a suitable actress was not found.[4] The main lead of the film was selected using the internet without any direct audition. Varun Sandesh did not audition for his role. He sent his photograph by e-mail in response to idlebrain.com advertisement and subsequently sent a video clip of himself enacting certain scenes along with a song via Google Video. Damidi Kamalakar Reddy, founding Secretary and Treasurer of Chaitanya Engineering College, acted as a Professor/Lecturer in a brief cameo role.
Most of the shooting took place at Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) and Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology (MGIT). In fact, the opening scene between Appu and Rajesh was shot in MGIT with select scenes shot outdoors. Sekhar being an alumnus of CBIT, found it to be a suitable location. He had to arrange a special screening of Anand to the chairman of CBIT and its board members to convince them for an on-site shoot. Apparently, after watching Anand, the board granted their permission to shoot the film.[5]
The music was composed by Mickey J Meyer and released by Big Music.[7] The audio launch took place at Annapurna Studios on 24 August 2007, 100 students selected from various colleges in Hyderabad attended. The guests for the evening included BN Reddy (CBIT), Kamalakar Reddy (CBIT), Dil Raju, Sekhar Kammula, Ravi Naidu (BIG Music), Mahesh Kumar (Reliance business head), Ilayaraja, Swapna, C Vijaya Kumar, Ashok and the star cast.BN Reddy launched the audio CD and gave the first unit to Kamalakar Reddy.[8]
The film received positive reviews for its fresh story, cast, screenplay, and songs. A critic from Rediff.com wrote that "Don't miss Happy Days for you will be reminded of the days gone by. Savour that nostalgia as Sekhar gives you ample amount of it".[10] Jeevi of Idlebrain.com wrote that "If he sticks to his sensibilities, Sekhar Kammula can never make a bad film. Go and watch Happy Days."[11]
The film was dubbed into Malayalam as Happy Days and re-made in Kannada as Jolly Days and released in 2008. Both versions proved to be successful. The Tamil remake, Inidhu Inidhu (2010),[13] was directed by noted cinematographer K. V. Guhan under actor Prakash Raj's Duet Movies banner. The first schedule was completed in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore (also called VIT University) and featured newcomers as protagonists. Mickey J. Meyer was retained as the music director and the project was his first venture in Tamil.
In 2014, there were speculations that a Hindi remake of Happy Days would be directed by Sekhar himself, and would be co-produced by Salman Khan.[14][15][16] However, there were no further updates.
Shri Saibaba Satcharitra Parayanam is meant to be made in eight days, starting on a Thursday and ending by the next Thursday. Chapters 1 through 51 shall be read in seven days ending on the eighth day again with Chapter 51. This method is only a suggestion and Satcharitra can be read at anytime, in any way and under any circumstances. This method is however (as per me) meant to impose discipline on the reader and to enable him/her to start and finish Satcharitra on Thursdays, auspicious day for Baba. Parayana shall be culminated by Harathi to Baba. Divine authors of Satcharitra have organized chapters to maintain a proper flow in the lifetime events of Baba; and hence is the clubbing of some chapters and reading of eight chapters on days 2 and 4.
Below are the chapters organized in an order, to read for 7 consecutive days ending with Chapter 51 on 8th day (Thursday). After finishing parayana on a Thursday it is customary to recite Parayananantara Slokamulu & Saibaba Mangala Harathulu and culminate pooja with Baba Harathi (choosing as per the time of day) & Naivedyam (offerings).

Inspiration for me to develop this software was Baba and aim was to prepare digital version of Sai Satcharitra in Telugu and Hindi, for it to be distributed online freely & easily among numerous Sai Devotees around the world.
It took three and half years for me to accomplish this task. I started digitizing Telugu Satcharitra in June 2006 and finished It in January, 2010. I used my spare time whenever I could in accomplishing this. I wish Baba will accept my small work to submit at His Holy Feet and I hope that other Sai devotees around the world will use this satcharitra to their heart's content.
All Sai Satcharitra chapters present on this page are free to be used by anyone to their heart's content. I did start to do the same in Hindi, my next mission. But it is already done and I am now astray on to what to do! With Baba's grace I hope to find my way soon.
Reports indicate that Chandrakanth was found hanging at the same residence he shared with Telugu actress Pavitra Jayaram in Alkapur. The actor had been deeply impacted by Pavitra's untimely passing and was reportedly also a part of the accident that claimed her life.

In a shocking turn of events, Telugu television actor Chandu died by suicide. This comes five days after his Trinayani co-star Pavithra Jayaram lost her life in a tragic car accident in Hyderabad. According to media reports, Chandu was found dead at his residence in Manikonda.
A report in TOI mentioned that Chandu's family members broke the door of his room after Chandu did not respond to their repeated phone calls. A suicide note has also been found by the cops. A case has been registered by Narsingi police under Section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
Several media reports stated that Chandu and Pavithra were in a relationship. Both the actors were married and had two kids each, however, they separated with their partners and were planning to make their relationship official soon. Reports stated that they wanted to take their relationship to the next level after Pavithra and were waiting for Pavithra to return from the trip. However, he passed away after meeting with an accident on her way back home.
While Pavitra essayed the role of Thilottama in the Telugu show Trinayani, Chandu played her husband, Vishal. She passed away in a road accident on Sunday (May 12) near Mahabubnagar in Andhra Pradesh.
The car lost control and hit the divider. Later, the bus coming from Hyderabad to Vanaparthi collided with the right side of the car. Pavitra was seriously injured in the accident and died on the spot.
