EasyWorshipbegan as a software solution for churches to amplify the worship experience from the sound booth to the stage. From bringing you the best church presentation software, worship media and customer support we can offer, we purpose to do everything with excellence and bring glory to God.
Create the service you want with stunning backgrounds for worship and eye-catching sermon videos from our media store. Advance your worship technology with software that works with you and for you. Integrate EasyWorship into your service workflow and watch it become an integral part of your production team.
If you have EasyWorship presentation software, and you have a video camera and capture card or a webcam, you can live stream your camera feed and also have lower thirds text overlaid. You can also send any media or presentation slides you have in EasyWorship to your live stream.
You can go to the vMix website and click Download at the top of the page. Then, click to download the latest version of vMix. It will include everything you need to get this done. Once downloaded, install it and then open it from the icon on your desktop or from your Windows start menu. If you need more features than what comes with the basic version of vMix, you can check out their paid versions as well. That will give you access to things like higher video resolutions and more. You can also currently get a 60 day free trial of the Pro version.
Creating a feed in EasyWorship requires you to have a camera connected to your computer via a capture card or USB connection or built into the computer monitor. Once you have your camera set up with your computer, follow the steps below to create a feed in EasyWorship.
You can add the theme you created to a specific song by adding a song to your schedule and then drag and drop the theme onto that song in the schedule. If you want to use the theme on all your songs, you can set it as your default song theme by right-clicking on the theme and choosing Set as Default Song Theme. That way, any song that uses the default theme will use it and the background will be your feed and the text will be in the lower thirds of the slide.
Dan Willard has been helping EasyWorship customers troubleshoot since 2006. He is head of all things training and teaches a weekly webinar which helps EasyWorship newbies look like pros. Sending from vMix to EasyworshipSending from EasyWorship to vMixYou can both send the vMix Output to Easyworship as well as receive the Output from Easyworship to vMix by using NDI. Requirements EasyWorship 7 or highervMix version 17 or higher Sending from vMix to EasyworshipStep 1Open vMix and load your vMix preset ready to go for your production. Go to Settings (top right) and select the Outputs/NDI/SRT tab. Next to Output 1, tick the NDI button so it is green and says NDI On. Then Press OK. Step 2Next go to EasyWorship. (We recommend running EasyWorship on a second computer for best performance. Just make sure it is connected to the same local network as the vMix computer). Go down to the bottom Resources section and click the Media tab, then select the Feeds option from the left sidebar. Click the little cog icon button in the middle section with the arrow next to it and select Add New Feed. Step 3Give your feed a Name to help you identify it, such as vMix Output. From the Input Device dropdown menu, select the vMix Output. In this example, our computer name is called VMIXPC so we are selecting VMIXPC (vMix - Output 1) (NDI). However on your computer it will look like:YOURPCNAME (vMix - Output 1) (NDI) Once selected, press OK. Step 4The vMix Output will now show up as one of your Media Feed options that you can use in your EasyWorship production. Sending from EasyWorship to vMixStep 1Open EasyWorship and setup the media you wish to send to vMix by having it ready in the Live Output. In this example, we are using song lyrics on a transparent background which will be retained when sent via NDI. So we can overlay it over our vMix production. Select the Edit menu up the top and choose Options. Step 2From the Live section, go to Output Monitor and choose the option for NDI Stream. Select your preferred Output Format and press OK. Step 3Next go to vMix. Select the Add Input menu at the bottom left. Then choose the NDI/Desktop Capture tab. Then select the NDI option up the top. From here you should see the option to select EasyWorship Live. Click this and press OK to add to vMix. Step 4You can now either use this as a separate input in vMix to switch to in your production. Or if it has a transparent background, you can position and overlay it over the top of your vMix production.
We wanted to include all aspects of our service in the live stream, and that includes our presentation software, EasyWorship. After trying some of the free or shareware projection software out there and realized we needed something with more features and polish in order to do more than just display lyrics, we started using EasyWorship 2009. Then, when we upgraded to EasyWorship 7, we added several features/options, and probably have barely scratched the surface of what we COULD be doing, but for us, this is what works.
We have an HP desktop computer with a Radeon HD 5500 graphics card that we use specifically for EasyWorship. This is our control setup for EasyWorship with the opening loop projected on the front wall of our sanctuary.
At the back of the sanctuary, we have a simple Sony EVI-D80 pan, tilt, zoom camera mounted above the door, connected to a dedicated laptop that controls the camera via free software and a mouse. The video is viewed on an HD TV just above the control laptop shown below.
Our audio is controlled on an Allen and Heath QU-32 digital mixer (shown below) that we are still learning the ins and outs of. ? Sometimes we may have some background music played through our audio console during the opening loop.
So now, how do we live stream and have EasyWorship in that mix? We use the Boxcast live stream encoder. This is not what you might think is the traditional setup where everything gets incorporated into EasyWorship and then sent out.
With the Boxcast, we can run a video signal directly from our camera to an HDMI amplified splitter (shown below) that sends the camera signal to our video camera control monitor, AND to the Boxcast encoder at the same time. We send our audio from the Allen and Heath QU-32 mixer using a cable that connects to one of our mix outputs, converts to unbalanced component plugs, and then plugs into the Boxcast. Using the Boxcast webpage and our order of worship for the week, I then schedule our live stream to start automatically on Sunday morning (or Holy Thursday, Good Friday, etc.) to broadcast out on two Facebook pages, our YouTube channel, embedded in our
www.fieldsumc.org website, AND the Boxcast app on Roku, Apple TV, and Fire TV (Firestick, etc.).
The Sony camera is used to create what is shown on the live stream by moving via PTZ throughout the sanctuary, zooming in on the projection for lyrics, Bible verses, etc. as well as the Pastor, musicians, readers, and so on. This involves a dedicated video operator.
