Instream/Ecology Work Group Members, on behalf of Creative Resource Strategies, the Institute for Natural Resources, Oregon State University Extension, and Oregon Sea Grant, we want to thank you for the time and energy you have invested to date to realize the vision and goals of the Mid-Coast Water Planning Partnership. Our task moving forward is an important one – to assimilate all of the documents and information that have been produced to date to help you chart a path forward to efficiently and effectively address the key issues, challenges, and opportunities that face water users and deliverers in the Mid-Coast region.

Attached to this email are 2 documents – the agenda for our convening today August 25, and a draft table of issues that were presented to us as a compilation of key issues that have been drafted to date and presented to us as representative of the priorities and perspectives of working group members. One of our objectives in the upcoming meetings is to review and affirm these issues with you, the other two working groups, and the coordinating committee. Once these issues are affirmed, we can share these with the entire partnership and move forward to develop specific actions that address these issues, i.e., an implementation plan.

If you are unable to make the work group meeting, but want to submit feedback on the problem-issue statements before they on to the broader partnership we will be sending out a survey to collect feedback soon.

We look forward to meeting and working with you to take this important next step.
