Greetings Municipal and Special Districts Working Group,

We had our August working group meeting yesterday with the facilitation and plan writing consulting team but due to conflicting schedules it had very limited attendance. I know many of you have very tight schedules especially right now, and the consulting team and I want to make sure that you have the opportunity to participate in one last work group meeting if you would like to. The purpose for yesterday’s meeting was for you to get to hear about the remaining project timeline, deliverables and for the work group to give feedback and affirm the 17 Problem-Issue Statements produced by all 3 work groups. These problems-issues will set the stage for Planning step 4.

We are opening up the other two work group meetings scheduled for this month to your work group members if you would like to attend to give feedback and meet the new facilitation/plan writing team. If you are unable to make any of the work group meetings for this month the consulting team and myself will be sending an anonymous survey that you can fill out, which we will hopefully be sending out next week.

Here are the remaining working group meetings scheduled:

  • Self-Supplied Work Group: August 20th from 3pm-4:30pm
  • Instream/Ecology Work Group: August 25th from 11am-12:30pm

Attached to this email are 2 documents – the agenda for the Self-Supplied Work Group (all work group have the same agenda just different scheduled times and GoToMeeting Invites) convening on August 20, and a draft table of issues that were presented to the consulting team as a compilation of key issues that have been drafted to date and presented to the consulting team as representative of the priorities and perspectives of working group members. One of their objectives in the upcoming meetings is to review and affirm these issues with you, the other two working groups, and the coordinating committee. Once these issues are affirmed, they can share these with the entire partnership and move forward to develop specific actions that address these issues, i.e., an implementation plan.

If you would like to attend either of these work group meetings please email me and I will send you the GoToMeeting invite for them.

Thank you all so much for your hard work and dedication to this process!

All the best,

Alexandria
