Mid-Coast Water Planning Partnership Work Group Members, during the past two weeks, our new consulting team convened the three work groups to affirm 17 key issues for which consensus was achieved across the work groups. Because not all work group members could attend each of the meetings, the consulting team would like to give all work group members an opportunity to review the suggested final wording for each of the key issues. Attached for your review is a document that illustrates the original wording that was given to the consultants, edits made by work group members, and final proposed wording of the key issues.
It is important to understand that the 17 key issues do not represent all of the key issues the partnership may include in its final integrated water management and implementation plan for the Mid-Coast region. We acknowledge there exists a number of issues for which the partnership has not yet achieved consensus. In addition, several unresolved issues likely will be addressed through the development of strategies that span several themes. The consultants will be bringing these other issues forward in the coming months.
Please read the attached document and complete the survey (link included in document) and affirm whether or not you can support each statement as described. This survey will be closing September 10th at 5pm. If you cannot support the statement as described, please provide the language you would use that would represent the change that needs to occur for you to support the statement. The work groups consist of many individuals, and we seek to be as efficient with your time as possible. Thus we ask that you understand we are not asking for wordsmithing at this stage – we are asking for specific language that you need to see in the statement to be able to state that you support the statement.
Thank you, and we look forward to reviewing the survey responses and taking next steps with all of you to develop an integrated water management plan for the Mid-Coast.
Consulting Team Includes:

Technical Writing: Jeff Behan (Institute for Natural Resources)
