Hi Kim,
I suggest looking into training courses from www.lynda.com (one month is $25.00 with no course files or 37.50 with access to course files.) I did some SharePoint courses last year and I have found them to be great. There are 7 SharePoint courses in their catalogue. You can preview courses before you decide.

Kim;
I am assuming (hoping for your sake) this is SP 2010. I am in 2007 hell. My understanding is that 2010 is much, much better.
We do not have a documentation naming scheme in place. We let SourceSafe take care of it for us. Of course, we are just bouncing drafts around until we get the final document. The document revisions are later in this project, but I will be following your success carefully!
Additionally, there is a very active SP support group in Portland that has monthly meetings, at Microsoft offices there. I will have to muck around in my email and find you an address. I haven’t been able to attend, for various excus…reasons.
Sorry I can’t help you anymore. I saw the one reply that you received about Lynda.com. I have looked at that, and have had various recommendations that it is quite good.
Good luck, and keep me in the loop. Supposedly, we are “upgrading” to SP 2010 Real Soon Now.
Lew
