Keep the sound off for this one. Steve was mowing.
Watched this Turkey Vulture come in with something creature-like dangling from it's beak. It was followed by at least two others, maybe three. They circled over head for several minutes. The followers made no attempt to take the item from the one carrying it. We think they are TVs that nest in the woods (mostly Oak and D fir around the seasonal creek that runs through our neighborhood ravine. They come in every evening just before dusk and often sun themselves on the tops of the D. Firs snags.
The property to the N and uphill from us is vacant (for sale) and they may be nesting in those Oaks again this year.
This is the first time I've ever seen this behavior. Any ideas about what it means?
