Two minutes ago Becky hollered that geese were flying over. I ran outside and at least 400 were Greater White-fronted Geese. Probably approaching Lewisburg by now.

There were a lot of Cacklers and Canadas flying around and about Finley this morning but no Greater White-fronted. Bev Clark and I walked up to Pigeon Butte and around by the barn from Bruce Road and saw and heard Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Golden-crowned Sparrows, Acorn Woodpeckers, Scrub Jays, kestrels, bluebirds, robins, towhees, Song and Fox Sparrows, juncos, harriers, waxwings, Black Phoebes singing by the pond, a kingfisher, savannah sparrows, meadowlarks, pipits, ravens, a lone coot, and probably some I’m forgetting. It was an unexpectedly birdy morning.
