Here's a bird we haven't  been able to ID.  The closest I've gotten is a juvenile Meadowlark.  I'm still not very mobil after surgery, so this is through a rather dirty window - best we could do for a photo.
We've never seen a Meadowlark here.  There aren't a lot of undisturbed meadows around, mostly grass seed fields, pasture, scrub and woodlands.  Can anyone hazard a better ID?

I think Paul might be right.  This might be an immature female Red-winged blackbird.  We see them all the time,! usually with a more reddish brown throat.  The yellowish color of the throat on this individual throws off the ID.  Feather color variations are so common that I'm not surprised to see this.  The rest of the characteristics look like a good match.  It's a bit of an embarrassment to be thrown off by such a small detail - but there you have it.
