Pileated woodpeckers

This morning my family and I were out for a walk along a road in McDonald Forest near Corvallis and got great looks at a pair of PILEATED WOODPECKERS.  I haven't seen this species in a few years, so a nice surprise.

If interested, enter at the Oak Creek gate and walk approx one mile.  That are a pair of maple snags very close to the road on the left side, mixed in with the maple woods there.
